Savings Accounts
Share/Savings Accounts
The Regular Share (Savings) Account is required for membership. Share Accounts are the cornerstone of credit union membership and provide the credit union with available funds with which loans are made. Savings Accounts are known as Share Accounts at credit unions. Therefore, in order to be a WCCU member, a Share Account with a minimum balance of $50.00 is required.
Use your Share Account at Workmen’s Circle Credit Union to save for vacations, a car, school tuition, down payment on a house, or whatever is on your wish list. Deposits to a Share Account can be made by check (in-person or mail) or electronically by ACH (direct deposit). Members may have their Social Security, pension, payroll deduction (if allowed by their employer), or other electronically deposited funds scheduled to deposit at WCCU. Dividends are declared by the Board of Directors and are calculated on the actual daily balance in the account. These dividends are paid to the membership on a quarterly basis.
